Her senior thesis project, Um So, A Room examines the process of recalling memories. Memory comes to mind in waves and is not always an accurate representation of the past. Recollection can be a layered process of thoughts, which vary among individuals. This book reveals a collection of nine interviews conducted by the artist. Interviewees were prompted to describe a significant room in their memory. Natalie pairs these informal narratives with loose illustrations in an effort to visually capture the essence of these recollections.
