Huh, and Iris Qing Zeng\u2014presented research-driven projects developed in their Research Methods course<\/strong>, which emphasizes the integration of <strong>quantitative data and qualitative narratives<\/strong> as a framework for climate communication.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>Ali El-Chaer\u2019s project explored the disappearance of bird species in New Jersey<\/strong>, combining ecological datasets with regional folk tales to situate biodiversity loss within lived cultural memory. <strong>Rachel Jung A. Huh\u2019s work traced her father\u2019s journey to the Arctic<\/strong>, bringing together family photographs and scientific measurement imagery to connect personal experience with large-scale climate observation and data collection. <strong>Iris Qing Zeng focused on color bleaching as a visual and material signal of environmental stress<\/strong>, translating scientific phenomena into perceptible visual language.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/designing.rutgers.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/IMG_8695-2-scaled.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/designing.rutgers.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/IMG_8695-2-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10384\" srcset=\"https:\/\/designing.rutgers.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/IMG_8695-2-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/designing.rutgers.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/IMG_8695-2-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/designing.rutgers.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/IMG_8695-2-1152x1536.jpg 1152w, https:\/\/designing.rutgers.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/IMG_8695-2-1536x2048.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/designing.rutgers.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/IMG_8695-2-scaled.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Together, these projects demonstrated how <strong>design-led approaches to data visualization and storytelling can make climate science legible, affective, and socially grounded<\/strong>, aligning with RCEI\u2019s emphasis on the human dimensions of climate change.
