When asked to describe  themselves, these practitioners often list multiple titles\u2014creative  directors, art directors, book designers, web designers, interaction  designers, industrial designers, programmers, writers, researchers,  technologists, ethicists, educators\u2014reflecting the multidisciplinarity  in the field today.
